Walk n talk therapy is when the client and counsellor walk together in nature.  Whilst walking together the client is encouraged to share what they are struggling with and what needs to change.

During the walk n talk experience clients are encouraged to make mindful connections to bodily feelings, emotions and thoughts that arise. This mindful practice helps us to embody our direct experience, reduce rumination and prevent the cycles of clinging and aversion that keep suffering alive.

Walk n talk therapy could be an ideal alternative to the more traditional office-based methods of counselling and psychotherapy. This alternative approach can be very beneficial, especially for those who don't feel so comfortable being in an enclosed space.

Prior to your first session we will have a free 15 minute consultation via zoom, skype or telephone where we will discuss issues of confidentiality, and how we will negotiate encountering other people whilst out walking.  It is important to remember that people walking and talking side by side is a very common sight and therefore a client and therapist walking side by side doesn't look any different.

I am happy for my client to set the pace of the walk - if you wish to meander along and have a relaxing walk that is fine, but equally, we can set a quicker pace if that's what your comfortable with.  The footpaths are easy to walk. We begin at The Pavillion Cafe in Victoria Park, London. Walks are suitable for all levels of fitness.

If the British weather makes it impossible to be outside we will switch to an online alternative or rearrange for another day and time that week.
